On the 15th, the Management Committee of Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone signed a strategic cooperation agreement with TCL Technology Group Co., LTD.

According to the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Wuhan East Lake Hi-Tech Zone and TCL, the two parties will further deepen cooperation in equity financing of Gechuang Dongzhi and promoting the development and growth of the printed OLED display industry.

TCL Huaxing Wuhan Base has been deeply involved in the field of printed OLED display for more than 10 years. In the first half of 2024, TCL Huaxing's LTPS flat panel shipments ranked first in the world, LTPS laptop and mobile phone panel shipments ranked second in the world, and flexible OLED mobile phone panel shipments ranked third in the world. In November 2024, TCL Huaxing's 5.5th generation printed OLED production line was officially put into mass production, and the first 21.6-inch 4K medical display was successfully delivered.

In 2024, the output value of TCL Huaxing Wuhan base will exceed 20 billion yuan, and the cumulative output value will exceed 110 billion yuan.

As one of the world's leading semiconductor display companies, TCL Huaxing has built 11 panel production lines in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Huizhou, Suzhou, Guangzhou, India and other places.

In 2014, TCL Huaxing settled in Optics Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park and built the country's first 6th generation LTPS display panel production line. Within 5 years, its output value exceeded 10 billion yuan, making it the first semiconductor display company in Hubei with an output value of over 10 billion yuan.

Over the past 10 years, the G4.5-generation flexible display panel test line put into operation by TCL Huaxing in Optics Valley has been approved as the Wuhan New Display Technology Achievement Transformation Pilot Platform; the 6th-generation flexible LTPS-AMOLED display panel production line and TCL Huaxing printed OLED production line have been put into production one after another, with a total investment of more than 80 billion yuan; the total number of patents in the field of printed OLED ranks first in the world.

Compared with traditional vapor deposition OLED technology, printed OLED has more advantages in wide color gamut, low power consumption, high resolution, transparent display, flexible display, etc. It can be applied to large, medium and small sized products at the same time, which is of great significance to the independent control of my country's new display field.

At present, TCL Huaxing has established a complete industrial chain of high-end display panels in Optics Valley, gathering nearly 20,000 scientific and skilled talents of various types, becoming a world-leading R&D and production base for small and medium-sized display panels.

In January 2025, the Wuhan New Display Industry Innovation Joint Laboratory, led by TCL Huaxing Wuhan Base, was officially launched. It will lay out new display technologies such as the next generation of Mini LED, Micro LED, flexible OLED, and printed OLED.
